Production Manager

Job Summary

Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are looking for Production Manager to join the team. You need to be hands on, motivated and driven. Your remit is to oversee all factory operations, support your peers, ensure a safe and effective work environment, and deliver excellence from the factory to meet the wider project goals.

Main responsibilities

Manage and monitor the production team to ensure the delivery of production items on time and within budget

Identify and implement process improvements to further improve factory performance

Completion of handovers from the design & project management function to production (Drawings and work packs)

Monitor materials and resources to ensure their efficient use, accurate tracking and inspection of received goods

Operate and promote safe working, paying attention to ISO9001, HSE and quality control

Effective management and training of the team to ensure a clean and safe factory is maintained in line with strict requirements

Produce accurate and timely reporting as requested on various subjects e.g. production, attendance, stocks etc.

Ensure equipment and materials management is coordinated with office and all equipment is maintained, calibrated, inspected and recorded in a log where appropriate

Responsible for all areas of people management e.g. training, attendance monitoring, disciplinary etc.

Point of escalation for any issues in the work area

Skills and Experience

Experience and understanding of production processes, including fabrication, machining and assembly (> 5 years).

Good level of English language, spoken and written.

Comfortable with basic computer tasks – using spreadsheets and documents.

Able to make considered decisions and communicate to relevant colleagues.

Methodical approach to problem solving and following established QA processes.

Able to lead and motivate the team.
